Hyundai and it’s sibling brand Kia led the US industry in five segments int eh 2014 study. “Quality scores are determined by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles, with lowers scores signaling higher quality.” The study is based on customer feedback from more than 86,000 buyers or lessees of the 2014 model year after 90 days of ownership. Hyundai improved it’s score by 12 points, 10 points better than the industry average.
The Hyundai Accent was the highest ranked car in the small car segment and the Hyundai Elantra was the highest ranked in the compact car segment. The Sonata was second in the midsize car as was the Equus in the Large Premium car category. The Santa Fe was also second in the Midsize SUV. The Hyundai brand is the only vehicle besides the Kia that you get a 10 year/100,000 mile warranty on the car which gives the consumer that much more value plus the #1 initial quality.
